An easy Indian-style dish that is creamy and full of flavor that can be made in the slow cooker.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
Put the chicken, onion, garlic, ginger, tomato sauce, yogurt, garam masala, paprika, turmeric, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker
Set the timer to low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours
Before you serve, stir in the heavy cream
Place on top of cooked rice and top with fresh cilantro
