Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Season each patty with salt and pepper
Grill or cook the burger patties to your desired level of doneness, typically about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare
While the burgers are cooking, split the hamburger buns and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster
When the burgers are almost done, top each patty with a generous spoonful of pizza sauce, followed by a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese
Close the grill lid or cover the skillet briefly to melt the cheese about 1-2 minutes
Remove the burgers from the grill or skillet and set them aside
To assemble the pizza burgers, place each patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun
Top each patty with pepperoni slices, black olives, diced green bell pepper, red onion, and sliced mushrooms
Finally, place the top half of the bun over the toppings to create a complete burger
Serve your kid-friendly pizza burgers with extra pizza sauce for dipping and enjoy!
